Ann Astrida Allen

Ann Astrida Allen passed away Oct. 18, 2011, at her home in Hillsboro, OR. She was born May 17, 1944, in the country of Latvia, to Sergejs and Sylvia Bankins. She came to the USA in 1950 and became a citizen in Texas Nov. 9, 1955.
She resided in Oregon for the past 30 years, and most of that in Hillsboro where she worked for Herzog-Meier Auto Dealership.
She is preceded in death by her longtime companion, Tom Krahmer. She is survived by 2 brothers, Peter and Jim Bankins; 4 cousins, Valdis Gubins, Torvaldis Gubins, Jane Harding, Margaret Tuttle; stepson Brian Krahmer and family. Ann was a proud member of the Cornelius Eagles 4177, where she had many close friends. She had been an active member of several car clubs with Tom.
A public Celebration of Life will be from 11am to 4pm on Saturday, November 12, 2011, at the Cornelius Eagles Lodge. A potluck lunch will follow services.
Memorial Contributions can be made to Washington County Hospice & Palliative Care.
