Bonita R. Davis

November 12, 1933 — December 14, 2020

Bonita “Bonnie” Davis, 87, of Hillsboro, died December 14th.  She was born in Des Moines, Iowa November 12, 1933.  She grew up in Mora, Minnesota graduating high school there.  She moved to Oregon with her family 1973 and lived in Beaverton, Oregon most of the rest of her life.
With her first husband, Arvid Johnson, she raised and is survived by her two sons, Bruce and Jim, and two daughters-in-law Cheryl and Lori.  She was known as Grandma Bonnie by her seven surviving grandchildren.   From Bruce and Cheryl - Emily, Eric and Kathryn and from Jim and Lori -  Matthew, Brendon and Jordan.   She was able to spend a lot of time with these grandchildren and had a great impact on their lives growing up showing them love, grace and fun.  They all loved to visit her and her second husband, Richard Davis, who passed in 2013.
Bonnie loved going to the Oregon coast in their RV as much as possible and taking a cruise to warmer weather every other year or so.   She had a green thumb and loved gardening and raising African Violets.  Once she moved into an assisted living center near her home, she was a joy to the workers there and enjoyed helping them with their flower gardens in the spring, summer and fall.  She spoke of and to her bother Kenneth in Kansas, Ted in Duluth and sister Judy in Pensacola often and reflected on the great life experiences she had with them while growing up in the mid-west.
Bonnie will be laid to rest with her second husband Dick Davis at the Lone Pine Cemetery in Wamic, Oregon, near surviving family members that loved her dearly.
