Bradley Cole Vandehey, 20 years old, of Hillsboro, OR passed away on Monday, May 23, 2016.
Bradley was born on July 6, 1995 at Tuality Community Hospital in Hillsboro, OR to his parents Brian Vandehey and Stacie Stone.
As a baby and young child, Bradley loved all things with a motor. He loved the vacuum cleaner, calling it the "bacuum" and would be appalled if grandpa mowed the lawn without him - one of his favorite things to do.
As he got older, his fascination with motors remained as he found his passion in riding his quad or motorcycle. The outdoors was his home and he spent many hours enjoying hunting, fishing, or spending time with his grandfather maintaining the family's property. He also loved working on cars and was particularly proud of the truck that he customized with his stepdad.
Bradley was 'passionate' to say the least. While he could be quick to temper, he was also the first to lend a helping hand, rescue a stray animal or stand up for the underdog. He loved completely and had a heart of pure gold.
He is survived by his father and stepmother, Brian & Monica Vandehey, mother and stepfather, Stacie & Gabe Stone, step-siblings Tyler, Cody and Nikki Lund, grandparents Dean and Jeanie Rasmussen, Gail Vandehey and aunt Amber Rasmussen. Bradley was preceded in death by his grandfather, Vern Vandehey.
Memorial services will take place at Fir Lawn Memorial Park in Hillsboro at 2 p.m. on Friday, June 3, 2016. There will be a viewing from 12 - 1 p.m. as well as a graveside service at 2:45 p.m. In memory of Bradley's love of animals, donations may be made to Bonnie L Hays Small Animal Shelter.
Bradley Cole, you will forever be in our hearts. 'Till we meet again baby boy.
