Clarence G. Davis died on December 03, 2011. He was 88 years old. A Celebration Of Life Service will be held at a later date.
Mr. Davis was born August 24, 1923 in Marion, Indiana. He was a graduate of Franklin College of Indiana where he received the McGruire Philosophy Award in 1955. He also holds both the Masters and Doctor of Philosophy degrees from Indiana University. He married Carol M. Burroughs in 1950. They lived in Indiana and New Hampshire, where he was Dean of the College and Professor of Philosophy at Keene State College. Dr. Davis held the title Professor Emeritous from Keene State College. They moved to Oregon in 1985 after which Prof. Davis taught occasionally at Portland State University and at Portland Community College, Rock Creek Campus on a part time basis.
Survivors include his wife, Carol M. Davis, and son Allen L. Davis of Portland.
The family suggests remembrances to the Southminster Presbyterian Church Sanctuary Flower Fund or to the Rock Creek Campus-Portland Community College Davis Annual Ethics Essay Award administered by the Portland Community College Foundation.
