Long time Hillsboro resident Clarene Ann Boogaard, 72, died Saturday afternoon February 23, 2013 at Maryville Nursing Home in Beaverton. Graveside services will be held at the Fir Lawn Cemetery, 1070 West Main Street in Hillsboro at 11:00 AM on Saturday March 9th, 2013. Clarene Boogaard was born on October 3, 1940 in Hillsboro to parents Chester and Opal Edgett. She attended all of her schooling in Hillsboro, Oregon and graduated from Hillsboro High School in 1958. On January 28, 1961, Clarene was united in marriage to James Boogaard. Following their marriage they made their home in the Hillsboro area, where they had four children. They divorced in 1970. Clarene had worked for the Hillsboro School district as an assistant cook. Later she went on to work for Intel, Tektronix, and Maxim as a fab technician. She retired from Maxim Corporation. Clarene enjoyed caring for her cat Angel, watching TV and Movies, playing games, going to art shows and painting. Clarene was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Marlene. Survivors include four children and their spouses: Renee Demke of Hillsboro; Jeffrey and Tanya Boogaard of Lovettsville, Virginia; Michael and RuthEllen Boogaard of Finley, Washington; Nancy Boogaard of Lincoln City, and nine grandchildren.Memorials and contributions may be made to Bonnie L.
