Coranne S. Roediger, known to her friends and family as "Sally," has died after a short illness. Sally was the daughter of Frank and Isabel Kaspar. She was born in Portland but spent her early years in Vernonia, where she met Ralph "Bud" R. Roediger. They were married March 20, 1948. They moved to a small farm in Witch Hazel, near Hillsboro, in 1949. Bud and Sally had three children, Kim Fleming of Lakeside, Mont., Mike Roediger of Libby, Mont., and Delsey Howard of Newport. Bud died in 1981.Sally was active in the Witch Hazel community. She was a member of the Hazelettes and served as a leader in Camp Fire. She retired from the Hillsboro School District in 1992. She was a lifelong member of the Hillsboro United Methodist Church. Sally was passionate about traveling and had traveled extensively in many parts of the world. She was also an avid gardener and grew many outstanding and prize winning roses. Sally was close to her family and friends.In addition to her children, she is survived by her sister, Fran Kaspar of Warrenton; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.A service of rememberance will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 3, 2014, at Hillsboro United Methodist Church.In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a contribution to the Bonnie L.
