Daniel Jerome Place was born in Spokane, Washington on February 17th,1963 and died on August 2, 2015 in Hillsboro, Oregon of natural causes.

Daniel Graduated Burlington Edison HS in 1982. It was there that he was an active enthusiast in theater having played several roles in school productions. Daniel also enjoyed his sports, often playing basketball with his older brother or simply enjoying watching or announcing the games; whether it was his huskies at Washington University where he went to college or the very important Seattle Seahawks and Mariners of his home state. Despite his love for theater and sports, one of Daniel's greatest passions was music and radio. He graduated from Broadcasting school in 1985 and went on to work for stations such as KTIL radio in Tillamook, Oregon and KWAL in Wallace, Idaho for a short time, before returning to KTIL for his night time show DJ's Place. Later in life, Daniel started work at Hank's Thriftway in the 1-Hour Photo/Customer Service department in Hillsboro, Oregon until 2010, when he took ill and began his disability leave.

Daniel is preceded in death by his mother Wesley Sue Place, of Burlington Washington and is survived in death by his wife of 26 years Beth Place nee McCamey and their two children Mark and Sarah Place, as well as his brother and sister-in-law Barton and Lise Place and their two children John and Ellie Place.

Services will be held Friday the 14th at 4:00 pm at New Day Family Church: 3155 SW 234th Ave #G Hillsboro, Oregon 97133 and will be officiated by friend and Pastor Justine Rosales.
