He was a graduate of Franklin High School, class of 1956. And honorably served in the United States Army National Guard. He worked for Garvison painting, Balzer Painting & the Beaverton School District, where he retired in 1999. Don was a devoted father and grandfather who cherished his family and always put them first. He had many lifelong friends who meant the world to him. His family and friends enjoyed his belly laughs, sense of humor and witty personality. Don’s zest for life was infectious for all who had the privilege to know him. He enjoyed spending time with family, attending his great grandchildren’s sport events, going to the North Plains Senior Center with his friends and dancing. Don was an avid woodworker spending hours on end creating whimsical wonders. Don was a proud volunteer for the Meals On Wheels Program at the North Plains Senior Center. Don was punctual and never went anywhere without dressing sharp, typically donning a nice western shirt, cowboy boots and a cowboy hat. Don is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Dorothy Crawn. Brother, Ronald Crawn. Sister, Dorothy Glovka. Son, Justin Crawn. And daughter in law, Toni Crawn. Don’s legacy will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate to have been touched by his beautiful life. Our hearts are broken, and we will never be the same without him. Don will be forever missed by his family, but we know he’s in heaven dancing in his best western shirt and cowboy boots smiling at us and walking with Jesus.
John 16:22 So with you: Now is your time of grief, but I will see you again and you will rejoice, and no one will take away your joy. John 8:12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.
