Donald L. Waggoner passed away October 20, 2010, with family by his side, in Kirkland, Washington.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, November 2, 2010, at the Village Baptist Church, 330 SW Murray Blvd., Beaverton, Oregon. Private family entombment will be at Fir Lawn Memorial Park in Hillsboro, Oregon.
Don was born February 21, 1923, in Manzanola, Colorado, to Berten and Lillie Waggoner. Don graduated from Ontario High School (1942), and attended the University of Idaho and then the San Francisco Mortuary College, graduating in 1947. He retired from Finley-Sunset Hills in 1986 and then retired from Bronlewee Bass (now Donelson-Fir-Lawn Memorial Center) in 1997.
He married Ruth Marie Chapman on July 9, 1944, in Nampa, Idaho.
He was a member of Village Baptist Church, and served there for many years as a choir and committee member. He enjoyed gardening, wood working, and auto mechanics, and used his skills both at home and in the community, helping others.
Don is survived by his wife Ruth of Kirkland, WA; two sons, Kenneth (Nancy) of Colorado Springs, CO, Michael (Dorothy) of Snohomish, WA; one daughter, Charlotte (Ed) Morin of Redmond WA; and grandchildren, Ayrian, Kerith, Andrew, and Matthew.
