Dorothy V. Crockett passed away January 27, 2012, in Hillsboro, Oregon. She was born in Burley, ID, March 8, 1922, to George and Bertha (Walker) Durfee.
A memorial service will be at 2:00 pm, Saturday, Feb. 4, 2012, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Brogden Chapel, 282 NE 32nd Ave., Hillsboro, OR 97124.
She was raised in Burley until 1934 when her family moved to Madison, WI, where she graduated from Central HS. She then attended Utah State and graduated in Sociology. She married John F. Crockett April 2, 1943. In 1954 she moved with the family to Hillsboro, OR, and stayed making it their home. She was active in the Relief Society of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Dorothy is survived by her husband, John; son Steve; daughters Linda Wilson, Karen Farhat, and Janet Frese; 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
