Dorothy Pearl Smallwood

Dorothy Pearl Smallwood, 88, passed away peacefully in Hillsboro, Oregon on Saturday June 15, 2024.

Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Sharon McCarty; her granddaughter, Melissa Langdale and Melissa's husband Tim Langdale; her grandson, Matthew McCarty; and her great-grandsons Damian Langdale and Sebastian Langdale. Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband, Harold Huston Smallwood; her father, William Thomas Wood; and her mother, Alva Beatrice Wood.

Dorothy was born in Fort Worth, Texas on January 23rd, 1936, to Alva Beatrice Wood and William Thomas Wood. Dorothy was an only child and grew up in Burleson, Texas up until she moved to Los Angeles, California in the fall of 1953. She married her husband, Harold Huston Smallwood on December 24, 1953. During her life, Dorothy worked for the State of Oregon in Washington County as a clerk. She enjoyed traveling and genealogy as some of her hobbies.

A graveside service for Dorothy is scheduled for 2:00 PM on Monday June 24th at Fir Lawn Memorial Park.
