Doug passed away May 5, 2011, at a Newberg hospital.
He was born December 2, 1927, in Isabel, South Dakota, to Robert and Fern Prouty.
A private family service will be held.
Doug moved to California at a young age with his family and graduated from Alameda High School in 1944. He moved to Oregon in 1945. He married Mary Kleve on Aug. 14, 1948 in Hillsboro, OR. She preceded him in death on Aug. 29, 2005. He worked at Tektronix in the Printing Dept. for 32 years, retiring as a Manager in 1983. He was a longtime member of the Beaverton Elk's Lodge.
He is survived by 2 sons, Larry (Alberta) of Rainer, OR, Bob (Linda) of Hillsboro, and his daughter Lori (Mark) Fohl of Hillsboro; one sister, Ruby (Harry) McCarthy of Newberg; 9 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
