Durland Lynn Fischer
Durland Lynn Fischer, a resident of Hillsboro, Oregon, died on March 1, 2017 in Hillsboro. He was 72 years of age.
Durland was born on November 30, 1944 in Powell Butte, Oregon and was the son or Lynn and Bessie (Newton) Fischer.
He graduated from Redmond High School and attended Portland State University. He worked as a supervisor at Tektronics before his 32 year career with Freightliner. He was part of the Freightliner Test Fleet and retired in 2013.
On July 7, 1990 he married Judy Kramer in Reno, Nevada. They enjoyed trips to the beach and traveling to Reno. He was a dear companion and friend; a great husband.
Durland also enjoyed trap shooting and was a Regional Champion in the sport. He enjoyed visiting casinos and trying is luck at the slot machines. His greatest love however, was his family. His was so proud to be a grandpa of 11 grandchildren.
Durland was a member of various Trap Shooting Clubs and a member of the Hillsboro Elks Lodge. He was also a life long member of the Teamsters Local 81.
Durland is survived by his wife, Judy of Hillsboro, children, Michael Fischer of Vancouver, Michelle Milionis of Salem, Mark Fischer of Vancouver, Mark Kramer of Newberg and Jeannie Kramer of Beaverton, his sister, Elaine Priday of Powell Butte and his 11 grandchildren, Shelby, Marcus, Hanna, Michailia, Peter, Madison, Rob, Paul, Tylor, Justin and Ryan.
