Dwayne Calvin Peirce passed away January 31, 2012. He was born April 15, 1942, in Hillsboro, Oregon, to Wayne and Grace (Lorenz) Peirce.
A funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm, Thursday, February 02, 2012, at Donelson-Fir Lawn Memorial Center, 1070 W. Main St., Hillsboro, Oregon. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm, Friday, February 3, 2012, at Skyline Memorial Gardens, 4101 NW Skyline Blvd., Portland, OR 97229.
Dwayne was raised in Hillsboro and graduated from Hillsboro High School in 1961. He served in the US Marine Corps. He marred Marjorie Elaine Nolan on May 14, 1966, at the Old Scotch Church in Hillsboro, OR. He had worked for CoorsTec for the past 12 years manufacturing military grade ceramics. He enjoyed "old school" recording with VHS, walking his dog, snorkeling, dominos, pinochle, card games, and working on obtaining his pilots license. Dwayne is survived by his wife, Elaine of Beaverton; 2 sons, Shane of Tualatin and Jon of Beaverton; daughter Jennifer Brown of Maples, ID; mother Grace of Hillsboro; 3 brothers, Eugene of Beaverton, Jay of Hillsboro, and Ted of Vernonia; and 13 grandchildren. Contributions may be made in Dwayne's memory to the Bonnie L. Hays Small Animal Shelter, 1901 SE 24th Ave., MS53, Hillsboro, OR 97123
