On October 8th, 2024, Earle Kenneth McLain II passed peacefully at home.

Earle was born in Hillsboro, Oregon on October 25th, 1943, to loving parents Earle Kenneth McLain and Ethel Bella McLain. He is survived by his sister Judith Lewis, his wife Kathryn Craft and his three children Earle Kenneth McLain III, Samra Logan, Angela Fischer, and his many beloved grandchildren.

Born and raised in Hillsboro, Oregon, Earle enjoyed living his life in his hometown. Earle graduated from Hillsboro High School in 1961 and attended the University of Oregon. Over the years, he raised a family with his wife of 38 years, Betty McLain. Sadly, widowed in 2008, Earle later had the great fortune to meet Kathy Craft and marry once again in 2016.

Earle will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather and a loyal friend with a quick wit and kind heart. In life, Earle balanced his passion for music and a zest for life with a practicality that made his family feel safe, secure and loved. He was grateful for the rewards his life and hard work had brought.

Earle loved his family deeply and reflecting on his life he felt a great sense of peacefulness and compassion for his fellow man. He will be missed and remembered with a love and admiration by all those who had the good fortune to know him.

Earle's life will be celebrated on his birthday, Friday, October 25, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Murrayhill Recreation Center, 11010 SW Teal Blvd, Beaverton, OR 97007, with refreshments to follow.
