Ella Mae Wroe, 86, died Dec. 27, 2014 in Vancouver, Washington. She was born Feb. 13, 1928 in North Plains, Oregon to Alfred and Agnes Nelson. She attended Shady Brook Grade School and Hillsboro High School. Ella M.ae married Henry Paul Morisette in 1945 and made their home on Dixie Mountain. They had two children, Louis and Evelyn. Henry died in 1959.
Ella Mae moved to West Union where she lived for over 50 years. In 1963 she married Virgil Wroe and he died in 1992.
Ella Mae retired from Rodgers Organ Company. She enjoyed gardening, dancing and fishing. She was a member of Washington County Grange.
Ella Mae is survived by her son, Louis and wife, Valorie of Vancouver, Washington, step-son Paul Wroe and wife Jude of Alaska, step-daughter Rosalie Napoleon and husband Nappy of Hawaii, two sisters, Betty Comstock of Banks, Oregon and Donna Verhoef and husband John of Amboy, Washington. She also had one grandson, three great grandsons and one great granddaughter.
Ella is preceded in death by daughter Evelyn and two grandsons.
