Everett Charles Davidson, 69, of Salem, OR died Friday, September 23, 2011 after an 11-year battle with cancer. Everett was born January 7, 1942 in Peterburough, New Hampshire, the son of Ella and Henry Davidson. He moved with his family to Oregon and settled in Banks where he graduated from high school in 1960. He married Carol Simantel on November 16, 1962 in Hillsboro, Oregon. He joined the Air Force and spent a year in Vietnam. After returning home to Oregon, he pursued careers in real estate, construction and title insurance. He retired from Stewart Title in 2003. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, helping others, and spending time with his family and friends. In 2006, he moved to Salem. He also enjoyed homes in Alaska and Arizona during his retirement. He was a member of St. John Lutheran church in Salem, although he also attended St. Luke Lutheran in Mesa, Arizona and Haines Presbyterian in Haines, Alaska. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Carol; his daughter Marcie Brown and son-in-law Jerry Brown, his daughter Lisa Munson and son-in-law Mark Munson, grandsons James Ellis, Aaron Ellis and wife Alyssa Ellis, granddaughters Rachel Munson and Julia Munson, great granddaughter Kylie Ellis, soon-to-be great grandson Everett Ellis, three brothers, numerous nieces and nephews, and millions of friends. The family suggests remembrances and/or contributions to the Cancer Society - Prostate Cancer Research and the Lutheran Hour Ministries.
