Felisa Bernarte Guinto passed away at her home in Sherwood, OR, on December 3, 2010, with family by her side. She was born January 18, 1918, in the Philippines, to Ambrosio and Teodorica Bernarte.
A funeral mass will held at 11:00 am, Saturday, December 11, 2010, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 13755 SW Walker Rd, Beaverton, OR 97005.
Public viewing will be held from 12:00pm to 9:00pm, on Thursday and Friday, December 9 & 10, 2010, at Donelson~Fir Lawn Memorial Center, 1070 W. Main St., Hillsboro, OR 97123.
Felisa moved to the United States in the 1970's. She lived in Sherwood for the past 3 years and Aloha for 20 years prior to that. She was a housewife, loving mother and grandmother. With her extra time she owned and managed the family business, an agricultural commodities store, during her working years in the Philippines. She is preceded in death by her husband, Dioscoro (1988). They were married May 5, 1940.
She is survived by 4 sons, Cris & Mary Guinto, Manny Guinto, Ray & Maricon Guinto, and Nick & Suzette Guinto; 4 daughters, Juliet & Jeng Bautista, Zeny & John Gomez, Honor & Bart Salvador, Mina & Akbar Tahayeri; and 13 grandchildren.
