G. Wayne Kolstad

G. Wayne Kolstad age 79 of Hillsboro died in Hillsboro Oct. 29, 2011 Born Sept. 7, 1932 in Portland, OR. Life resident of the Portland area - the last 43 years in Hillsboro. Graduate of Beaverton High School. Married Ruth M. Copley Nov. 22, 1968 in Beaverton, OR. He was a retired painter. He retired in 1996 from the Housing Authority of Portland. He was very involved in the HAP Camp for under privileged children. Member of Orenco Presbyterian Church in Hillsboro and the Sons of Norway. He was proud of his Norwegian heritage. Wayne took a one month trip to Norway in 1997. He enjoyed stamp collecting, gardening, jigsaw puzzles, movies and card playing. Wayne was a regular for morning coffee at The Hillsboro Pharmacy.
Wayne is survived by his wife Ruth "Marcie" Kolstad daughter Jackie Kolstad-Blanchard (spouse Kell Blanchard) step son Wayne Baller (Tracy) step daughter Teresa Hammond sister Evelyn Skaar (John) sister Jeanette Bult (Don) 3 grandchildren.
