Gertrude Huisman age 74 of Forest Grove, OR died in Hillsboro Aug. 14, 2011 Born Mar. 28, 1937 in Hills, Minnesota. Graduated high school in Ripon, CA. Forest Grove resident since 1970. Married Peter Huisman May 27, 1960. He preceded her in death in 2002. She worked as an assembly technician at Tektronix in Beaverton, OR from 1976 until retirement in 1999, She enjoyed cooking, craftwork and being a scout den mother for her sons.
Survivors, son William Huisman (wife Maria) res. 503.992.2253 cell 503.706.6955 son Mike Huisman (Karen) brother John DeWeerd brother Marines DeWeerd, she was preceded in death by her son John Huisman in 1983.
Viewing will be Friday Aug. 19, 2011 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the chapel.
Services will be held Sat. Aug. 20, 2011 at 10:00 AM at Donelson-Fir Lawn Memorial Center Chapel, Hillsboro, OR.
Interment will will be held at Forest View Cemetery in Forest Grove, OR.
