Hazel Luthera Lovell

Hazel was born April 27, 1918, in Kimball, South Dakota, to Luther and Flossie Henthorne. She passed away at her home with family by her side on September 10, 2010, in Hillsboro, OR.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, September 18, 2010, at Donelson - Fir Lawn Memorial Center, 1070 W. Main St., Hillsboro, Oregon. Private inurnment will be held at Fir Lawn Memorial Park in Hillsboro, Oregon.
Hazel was raised back and forth between Oregon and South Dakota. She moved permanently to Oregon in 1936. She lived in Beaverton for 39 years, Aloha for 2 years, and Hillsboro since 1998.
She is preceded in death by her son, James, and her husband, Richard Vernon Lovell (Jan. 7, 1995). They were married on February 28, 1941, in Vancouver, Washington. She is also preceded in death by her brother Martin and sister Gladys.
Hazel was a homemaker all of her life. She loved to can food and enjoyed gardening.
Hazel is survived by her son, Richard (June) Lovell of Hillsboro; 2 daughters, Joyce (Dale) Johnson of Astoria, Linda Willer of Aloha; 1 brother, James Henthorne of Oregon City; 5 grandchildren, Shannon Paulson, Paul Johnson, Timothy Johnson, Kersten Lovell, Nicholas Willer; 3 great grandchildren, Eric Paulson, Joshua Johnson and Jared Johnson.
