We remember James Marion Patrick Sr, fondly known to many as Jimmy, his spirit departed from us on August 14, 2024, at the age of 75 after a long battle with cancer. Jimmy fought his battle against cancer for six long years. Despite spending much of his time in and out of hospitals he never lost his sense of humor. Throughout his cancer journey he kept his enthusiasm for fishing, supporting his family and traveling to the beach with his wife.
James was an expert in his field of Concrete cutting. In 1996 James and his two sons started a family business from their specialty knowledge of cutting concrete. They named the business A Cut Above. With his wife Theresa Patrick as the Office Manager, they created a company that was A Cut Above the rest and had a reputation for being the best in their field.
Jimmy has left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him. An avid fisherman, he loved going out in the ocean fishing with his sons and close friends.
We honor him as a hero as a Vietnam Veteran in the US Army where he received the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star.
Jimmy is survived by his wife, Theresa Patrick, his two sons John and James, their wives, 4 grandkids; Courtney and her spouse Andrew, Christopher and Melanie; 5 great grandkids; Makenna, Anthony, Eden, Hunter and Avery. Jimmy was also a devoted brother and friend.
