James was presently residing in the retirement home, The Grove, where he had been suffering from Pneumonia. On Saturday evening, April 2, 2011 he passed away.
James was born in Bismark, North Dakota on November 12, 1932 to Clarence and Elizabeth Robideau. His family moved to Springfield, Oregon. After Schooling he served in the U.S Navy.
After leaving the service he then married Winifred Erickson in 1952. They began their family and moved to the Hillsboro area. He was a carpenter most of this life, raising his children in Hillsboro. He was president of the local 2130 carpenters union and was also a good standing member in the elks and moose lodges.
He then divorced from Winifred, moving on with his life, he became a good standing member of the Eagles lodge in Cornelius. He then met and married Eileen Halensky. They lived in the Hillsboro area for some years until she passed away. He moved to Forest Grove and lived there for 7 years. He later moved into the Grove Estates Retirement Home where he lived out the rest of his life.
He is preceded in death by Former Wife Winifred and Wife Eileen. Also by sons Eugene Francis and James William.
He is survived by sisters Clarice Sullivan and Annette Baird, also Brother in law Eugene Sullivan. He is also survived by children Georgina Rae, Michael Aaron, Denice Renee, Son in law Kenneth Hogan and daughter in law Cheryl Corder. Along with many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was loved and respected by many and will be sorely missed.
There will be a Memorial Service at Cornelius Chapter of the Eagles Lodge on Sunday, April 10, 2011 at 2:00 P.M.
