Jean Ann Mohr passed away peacefully on Sunday May 27, 2012 at Fairlawn Good Samaritan Village in Gresham, Oregon after living 91 years in the Hillsboro area. She was born June 6, 1920 to Frank and Hulda Guerber Connell and lived in the Helvetia area, Oregon.
Jean Ann married her high school sweetheart Robert Alvin Mohr, at Orenco Presbyterian Church April 1, 1944, when he returned from WWII from service in the U.S. Navy. She attended Oregon State College, then returned home to volunteer service in the Red Cross during the war years. Jean Ann was a long time employee of Washington County in the tax office She was very active in Home Extension, the 4-H program and the Orenco Presbyterian Church throughout her life. She loved the farm life with gardening, animal care, and feeding the birds living on the family farm into her 80's. Her hands were always busy crocheting or doing some craft.
Survivors include children Robert(Lisa) Mohr, Marilyn(Theodore, "Tik") Moore, Janis(Paul) Tipton; grandchildren Andrea, Matthew, Rachel, Jennifer, Randy, Tyson, Rebecca, Anita; great grandchildren Lindsey, Colton, Weston, Joshua, Levi, and Scarlet. She was preceeded in death by her parents and husband.
A private family graveside service will take place at Donelson-Firlawn Memorial Center in Hillsboro on Friday,June 15th.
Memorial Contributions can be made in her name to the Casey Eye Institute, OHSU; or the Orenco Presbyterian Church.
