Jennie Lee Croeni was born October 7, 1915 to Lee Rexford and Jennie Elizabeth Marvin near Mt. Tabor in Portland, Oregon. She had four brothers Dee, Elwood, Chuck and Lee. She was the middle child. She graduated from Washington High School and went on to study at secretarial school. After finishing school, she worked in the insurance business as a rater, an underwriter and finally an office manager.
She worked in the insurance business for eight years before she met the only man she ever loved in her life, Chester Croeni. Jennie and Chet were married October 19,1946. They raised two children, Richard and Kathleen. Chet passed away in 1965 when he was 54. After Chet's death, Jennie went to work for a Christian book distributor in the book order department and eventually became the office manager.
She lived in Portland, Oregon until January, 2007 when she moved into an assisted living center near Los Angeles to be close to her daughter, Kathleen. She always enjoyed meeting other residents, being a witness for her Christian faith, and reading as much as she could.
She is survived by her son and daughter, along with four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Trust in the Lord with all thine heart, and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Proverbs 3:5-6 (Jennie's life verse)
