John Frank Jarrell, 68, of Hillsboro, OR, passed away peacefully on May 26, 2019 surrounded by his loved ones.
John was born in Portland, OR to Sidney and Beulah “Boots” Jarrell on December 23, 1950.
John attended high school in Beaverton, OR. Soon after high school, he married his first wife, Leann. In 1970 he was drafted and was sent to Vietnam. It was while in Vietnam, he was notified of his daughter, Kimberly’s birth. While serving in Vietnam, he was highly decorated: receiving a Bronze Star w/Oakleaf Cluster,Purple Heart and several others. John worked in construction most of his professional career making roads and doing other projects. John enjoyed spending time in Garibaldi, OR fishing and crabbing in the summer with friends and his dog, Shelby. He
also loved hunting and fishing and hanging out with his dear friends, Steve and Laurie Chasteen.
John is preceded in death by his father Sidney.
John is survived by his daughter, Kimberly (James) Agostinacci,
brother Sid, sisters Rose, Becky and Ethel, mother Beulah, and 3
grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews, especially
close to John were nephew Jakob (Kim) and niece Brooks.
Interment will be 1:00pm Friday, August 16, 2019 at Willamette National Cemetery with military honors.
