John Brower Stell passed away October 20, 2011, at home. He was born July 20, 1925, in Cedar Edge, Colorado, to George and Myra Stell.
Private family services will be held at a later date, with private interment in Oroville, Washington.
John was a teacher and school librarian. Some of his teaching positions included Highland Park Middle School in Beaverton, and Sacramento Elementary School in Parkrose. He was a long time member of the Aloha United Methodist Church where he sang in the choir. He was an avid reader, loved bowling, and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his son Paul (Patricia) of Bend, OR; his daughter Pennie (Michael) O'Hearn of Portland; 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
