Johnnie Marvin Summers

Johnnie Marvin Summers of Hillsboro, 75, passed away peacefully on Saturday June 8th at home after a tough fought battle with cancer.  Born 6/3/44 in Whittier CA to parents John Franklin Summers and Alice Joyce Summers.Johnnie grew up and graduated from Grants Pass High School. He attended OIT where he obtained his surveying license and was licensed through the state of Oregon. He met the love of his life on a blind date and he married Carol Ann Brush on 3/7/70.  Settling in Hillsboro, they had three children together. Johnnie enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting, working outdoors and teaching his kids how to enjoy life to its fullest. Johnnie is now reunited with his love Carol who passed 7/2014.  He is survived by his daughter Jodi Summers, sons Jason Summers and Jeffrey Summers, granddaughter Regina Summers, grandson Justin Summers and his beloved dog Fonzie.We will miss him telling us to “Just Do It” (said well before Nike made it popular) and his words of wisdom.  We love you dad and grandpa.
