Julie Ann Heinrich, 66, passed away July 24, 2020 in Salem, Oregon.
Julie was born June 9, 1954 to William G. and Marian E. (Rogahn) Heinrich the fourth of five children. She grew up in Hillsboro, Oregon, and enjoyed a childhood full of fishing, playing sports, and other activities. She graduated from Hillsboro High School in 1972. and went on to open her own restaurant at the age of 19. After working in the food industry for many years, Julie decided to return to school to further her education and graduated in 1992 from Oregon State University with a degree in Food service management and nutrition and a minor in Gerontology.
After graduating college, Julie worked in many places including Paulina Lake Lodge, OSU, Western Oregon University, and Illahe, Columbia Edgewater, and Riverside Country Clubs. The Springs Retirement Home in Salem and The St. Josefs Winery in Canby, and many other venues. She enjoyed sharing her gift of creating delicious food and stunning presentations with guests and especially with her family and friends. Julie was also a gifted gardener and spent hours planting flowers and vegetables around her home. She also received enjoyment from her hobby of wood carving and as a member of the Capitol Woodcarvers club in Salem.
Julie was preceded in death by her father William; mother Marian; and sister Jane. She is survived by her brother Paul Heinrich and wife Cathy (Schmidlkofer), brother Steven Heinrich and wife Kathy (Coussens); sister Janeen Johnson (Heinrich) and husband Ken; nephews, Bill Heinrich and wife Jessica (Williams), Brian Heinrich, Bjorn Johnson and his wife Robbie (Liles), and Nathan Johnson; niece, Heidi Bossert (Johnson) and husband Joe. Great nephews, Payton and Gunnar Heinrich, Carson Bossert, Nieces, Reagan Bossert, and Hadley Johnson.
A private burial service will be held on July, 30th 2020 at Firlawn Cemetery, Hillsboro, Oregon. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
