June Lucille Eggers was born March 22, 1932, in Yakima Washington, to Robert and Metha Dickey. She passed away February 20, 2024 at the age of 91.
June was "DickeyKid2" of six kids. Her family moved to Portland when she was 12. She graduated from Washington High School in 1950.
June married Clarence Clifford "Cliff" Eggers in 1951. They went on to have three children, Tom, Pam, and Sue. They lived in Portland, Aloha, and Milwaukie together. They got divorced in the mid 1970's.
June had a successful career in customer service at General Telephone Company, until her retirement in 1996. She was involved with American Business Women's Association during her working years. She spent her retirement years in her condo in Hillsboro.
June enjoyed traveling and camping. She made a couple trips to Europe, volunteered on a cruise ship, and really enjoyed Maui. Just this year she indicated that she wished she could go to Maui one more time. Her favorite camping destination was Wallowa Lake.
June is survived by daughters, Pam Rauchenstein of Vancouver and Sue (Larry) Lewis of Hillsboro; daughter-in-law, Jackie Eggers of Beaverton; brothers, Richard Dickey of Vancouver and Rex Dickey of Milwaukie; grandchildren, Jason, Melanie, Caitlin, Shelby, Zach, Tim, Carl, and Laura; along with many great and great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
June was preceded in death by her parents; son, Tom; brothers, Robert and Roy; and sister, Joanne.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 1, 2024 at Fir Lawn Cemetery, Hillsboro.
