Kathleen Louise Snapp, 59, a resident of the Hillsboro community died Thursday, December 29, 2011 at Tuality Community Hospital following a courageous battle with cancer. Private Cremation Rites have been held and Inurnment may be held in California at a later date.
Kathleen Louise Snapp was born February 18, 1952 in Providence, Rhode Island to Edmund A. and Mary Louise (Drago) Piasecki. She moved around with her family as her father was active duty military. They lived on several bases across the country and even lived in Cuba for a short time. Following her education she began working at Verbaitum in California. It was there that she met the man of her dreams.
Kathleen was united in marriage to Jeffrey Howard Snapp on April 19, 1985. They celebrated twenty-five years of life together and raised two sons; Philip and Steve.
She worked for several years in California before the family moved to Hillsboro. Kathleen went to work at Merix in Forest Grove in 1998. She was a busy wife, mother and homemaker. Among her personal interests she really enjoyed reading and hanging out at home with the dogs. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her husband Jeff, two sons and a daughter in law, Philip and Amy Snapp of Cornelius, Steve Snapp of Hillsboro, two sisters and a brother in law; Tina Piasecki and Trisha and Mike Swanson all of Hillsboro, four brothers and sisters in law; David and Dorothy, Tim and Wendy, Peter and Tess, and Mike and Susan Piasecki all of California. The family suggests that remembrances may be contributions made to the Susan G. Kommen Foundation, 1400 SE 5th Avenue, Suite 530, Portland, Oregon 97201, in Kathleens memory. Services entrusted to Donelson~Fir Lawn Memorial Center, 1070 West Main St. Hillsboro.
