Lanny Ray Jacobsen was born in Yakima, Washington on January 23, 1969 to Valdee and Kenneth Jacobsen. Lanny attended schools in Selah, Spokane, and Pasco, Washington. After graduation from high school. Lanny enlisted in the US Army, where he served two, consecutive tours of duty along the Demilitarized Zone in Korea. After discharge from the US Army, Lanny returned to Pasco, Washington.
Throughout his high school and US Army service years, Lanny loved music and had an interest in becoming a sound engineering technician. In early 1993, he moved to the Portland area to take technical courses in sound engineering. He was also interested in sales work, which eventually led him to sales of custom plastics products. Lanny's love of music continued to the end in a jam session with friends a day before his passing.
Lanny is survived by his wife, Doreen Jacobsen; his mother Valdee Velehradsky (John Velehradsky); his father Kenneth Jacobsen (Janice Jacobsen); his brother Richard Duval (Sara Duval); his sister Leata Sedlacek (Jeff Sedlacek); his brother Nicholas Jacobsen; his brother Kenny Jacobsen; his sister, Kelli Jacobsen; his nephews Jake Sedlacek and Zack Sedlacek; and his nieces Trinity Duval and Alexis Duval.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to help with mounting medical bills incurred prior to Lanny's passing.
