Malfrid Nielsen Yontz

Malfrid Nielsen Yontz was born October 2nd 1933 in Sand Norway to Hans & Julia Nielsen. She was the youngest of five children.



While living in Norway, Malfrid was introduced to Joe Yontz through her sister. The two became pen pals and on December 8th 1955, they were married. Joe was the first American in 150 years to be married at the Norwegian church. They eventually had two children, Erling and Julie.



Malfrid had an extensive career in sales, spending 20 years in the industry. She had several hobbies and truly loved to live life taking part in skiing, water skiing, bowling, needle work that was very detailed, reading and above all else a passion for the NFL, specifically watching the Seattle Seahawks. Her sense of humor made her special and she loved to spend time with her grandchildren.



Malfrid is survived by her children, Erling Yontz (Brenda), Julia Wright, 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.



She will be dearly missed.
