Marjorie Ilene Wold, 81, passed away January 5, 2015. Marjorie was born September 6, 1933, in Hillsboro, Oregon, the daughter of Wallace and Alta Persons. Marjorie attended elementary school at Arcade School, Pumpkin Ridge, and graduated from Hillsboro High School in June 1951. She married Roy Wilhelm Wold September 16, 1951 in Shadybrook, and moved to North Plains, Oregon with her husband and eldest son in 1953. Marjorie was a long-time employee of GAF (Sawyer's) and then Tektronics of Beaverton, from which she retired from in 1989. Marjorie was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Roy; son Lyle (Terri) of North Plains, Oregon; David (Robin) of Timber, Oregon; and Eric of North Plains, Oregon, and daughters Holly (Charles) Guetling of Evansville, Indiana, and Heidi Huettl of North Plains, Oregon, as well as 15 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Marjorie was a lifelong member of the Washington Grange, and supported Disabled American Veterans, VFW, OPB, Sierra Club, and R.S.V.P.
Family only graveside services will be held at Arcade Cemetery.
A celebration of life and pot luck luncheon will be held for family and friends at Washington Grange 313, 16464 NW Pumpkin Ridge Road, North Plains, Oregon at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, January 10, 2015. All are welcome. Contributions may be made in her memory to Washington Grange 313 care of Grange Treasurer, 30550 NW Old West Union Road, North Plains, Oregon, 97133, in lieu of flowers.
