Mark Robert Comparone, 68, of Hillsboro, Oregon passed away in his home Wednesday, October 28, surrounded by family. He was the beloved husband of Janean Comparone.
Born in Bridgeport, Connecticut, Mark is predeceased by his parents, George Comparone and Nanette and Thomas Wishart, and his brother, Thomas Wishart, Jr. (Crystal). Besides his wife, he leaves his son, Nicholas Comparone; daughter, Dana Sarber (Dylan); siblings Donna Park (Robert), George “Cap” Comparone, Jr., Ellen, Susan, and Michael Wishart; and his many nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He loved to dance and spent much time outdoors, from swimming, hiking, climbing, bicycling, skiing and even a go at hang gliding. An avid builder and woodworker, Mark was continually involved in projects for himself and others. He was an active member of Hillsboro First Baptist Church and trusted God completely with his life.
Mark met and married Janean Rodgers, in the presence of God, joining their families to include: Christina Pritchett (Luke), Casey Kubitscha (Jake), Carlyssa Leopold (Jerrod), Cody Rodgers (Ellen), and Caylln Rodgers (Alexandra). Mark was blessed with 13 grandchildren: Annie, Logan, Emma, Nathaniel, Samuel, Isaac, Amira, Ellie Mae, Benjamin, Jonathan, Evangeline, Tristan and Kemper. A wonderful mentor, Mark loved his role in the family and was known as “Gumba.” He will be missed so much.
