Mary Kathryn Geiger

Mary Kathryn (Miller) Geiger, 80, of Forest Grove, OR died peacefully on October 9th. After suffering from complications caused by dementia.She was born in Corry, Pennsylvania on January 16, 1940 to Myron L. and Mary E. Miller. She was the 5th of 6 children.Mary grew up most of her childhood living in the Forest Grove area. She went to church and school in Forest Grove and graduated from Forest Grove High School in 1958.Mary met the love of her life Edward William Geiger. They were married on December 12, 1959 in Portland, OR. Ed was enlisted in the Navy. They soon left the area. While traveling around during Ed’s service they had 2 children. In 1969 they returned to Cornelius/Forest Grove area to raise their family. Finally in 1971 settling back in Forest Grove.Mary was active in the church and liked to sew, knit and crochet. She also enjoyed reading and putting together puzzles with her children and grand children. You could find her at Rainbow Lanes on Wednesday mornings bowling in the Coffee Timers League.She was a loving wife and mother and she loved each of her grand children and great grand children very much.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Edward, Brother Lloyd and Sister Nina.
She is survived by Brothers Luke and Glen Miller and their wives, Sister Myrna Miller-Johnson. Son and daughter In Law Thomas W. and Lexanne Geiger, Daughter and Son In Law Rolinda K. and Eric Lewis. Five grandchildren and Nine great grandchildren along with numerous nieces and nephews.
