Mary Irene Ledbetter

Mary Irene Ledbetter age 93 of Hillsboro died at home July 8, 2011. Born Mar. 16, 1918 in Ramsey, Illinois in a log house to Clare & Myrtle (Margritz) Lattig. Attended a 1 room school and after high school went to nursing school and became a registered nurse. She met Robert Ledbetter while a student nurse. They married in Aug. 1941. He was Stationed at Treasure Island during WWII . They lived in San Francisco until the late 70's when they moved to Hillsboro to be near family. While in Hillsboro she became one of the first 48 women in Oregon to be a licensed pest control agent and termite inspector. She worked for Terminix. She enjoyed gardening and sewing and playing games, especially pinochle.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tues. 7-12-11 at Hillsboro Christian Church, 540 NE Edison, Hillsboro, OR 97124.
Interment will be at Mountainside Cemetery, Scholls, Oregon.
