Nancy Basilia Fierro

Born June 14, 1941.Nancy passed away Jan. 14, 2020.She was born in Hanford, California and raised in San Jose.  After attending San Jose High School, Nancy met Steve Fierro while working at Fairchild Semiconductor.  They married on April 16, 1966. Together they moved from San Jose to Hillsboro, Oregon in 1979 where they raised their three sons, Edward, Christopher, and Jeffrey.  Nancy was a devoted and fiercely loyal mother to her beloved sons.
She was happiest in Hawaii, soaking up sunshine and warm breezes that carried the scent of Plumeria flowers throughout the Islands.  Nancy was passionate about her family. She loved having them together. They were her priority, and she was always ready to drop everything if they needed her help.  Nancy and Steve were happily married for 25 years until Steve passed away May 14, 1991.
Among her favorite things were gardening, movies, donuts, hot dogs and a good margarita.  But none of them gave her more comfort than her loyal dog, Sammy.
Nancy had a long career at Maxim Integrated, where she was a supervisor on the production floor. Her father, Joseph Ramirez, and her mother, Lucy Molano both passed away before her.  She also lost her husband, Steve Fierro and her three brothers, Smiley Ramirez, Manuel Ramirez, and Joseph Ramirez.
Nancy’s life created an enduring legacy.  She is survived by her three loving sons, Edward, Christopher, and Jeffrey Fierro; her five grandchildren, Rachel Silverson, Andrew Fierro, Taylor Fierro, Elijah Fierro, and Isaiah Fierro; and her two great grandchildren, Harper Fierro and Dani Silverson.  She also left behind many close friends, including Betty Cambron, Teddy Caskey, Rosemary Hernadez, and Pat Baca. Nancy’s unique spirit and attitude will be missed by all of us.
