Norma Jean Oberst, 77 of Hillsboro Oregon Passed away, September 5th, 2016 at St Vincent's Hospital after a long struggle with Alzheimer's.
She was born to Wilma and Charles Kennedy on December 12, 1938 in Hillsboro Oregon. She was the eldest child and had one brother Don Kennedy. She lived in Hillsboro area her entire life. She married Carl Oberst July 3, 1959 in Hillsboro Oregon. She graduated from Hillsboro Hilhi in 1957. Was a longtime employee of Tektronix, 43 years.
She loved sewing and was a wonderful quilter. She also enjoyed bowling, playing pinochle with friends, and spending time with family. You couldn't leave her home without her giving you something she thought you needed i.e. jam, embroidered towel, quilt or something handmade. She was the most generous, kind, and caring woman you could ever meet and leaves a hole in our hearts.

Service to be held on September 16, 2016 at Hillsboro Christian Church 540 NE Edison St Hillsboro, OR 97124 with Viewing at 10:00am and Service to start at 11:00am with lunch reception to follow.
