Ollie Louise Betzer died peacefully & quickly at her home on July 8, 2015. She was 87. Ollie was born in Flagstaff, Arizona July 18, 1927 to Florence & Conrad Pessarra. She married William Otis Betzer on January 9, 1949 in Tucson, AZ. They moved & settled in Hillsboro, Oregon a short time later. Ollie was a "stay-at-home Mom" taking in ironing & babysitting until 1966 when she began working as a school cook at Poynter Junior High. She worked for the Hillsboro School District until her retirement. She enjoyed various craft projects including decoupage, cake decorating, & tole painting. She, also, had an interest in genealogy & gardening. She was a member of the Hillsboro Christian Church which was an important part of her
life. Remembrances can be made to the Christian Women's Fellowship Fund (CWF) of the Hillsboro Christian Church. Ollie is survived by her children: Florence Ball of Canby, OR; Bill Betzer of Doyle, CA; Bob Betzer of Tigard,, OR; & Tom Betzer of Hillsboro, OR, four grandchildren: David Ball of Milwaukie, OR; DeAnna Ball of Salem, OR; Sam Betzer of Tigard, OR & Mikayla Betzer of Doyle, CA. She is, also, survived by two great grandchildren: Allie & Shane Ball of Milwaukie, OR. Ollie was preceded in death by her husband, Bill, in January, 2001. A memorial service will be held on July 21, 2015 at Hillsboro Christian Church, 540 N.E. Edison, Hillsboro, OR at 11:00 am with a reception & graveyard services for the family following.
