Patricia (Patti) Faye Strohm, age 68, a longtime Hillsboro resident and Oregonian, died unexpectedly on March 2, 2016.
The youngest of three children, Patti was born to Faye and Hercial Jones on October 15, 1947. Patti was born in La Grande and grew up in Wallowa, Oregon. She attended Eastern Oregon State College.
In 1966, Patti married Michael Strohm. They raised three children, and divorced amicably in 1989. Patti was an excellent mother and homemaker. She spent her early adulthood working in a variety of roles at the schools her children attended. In 1990, she graduated with honors from Trend Business College in Legal Office Administration, and began working in the legal and courts fields. She worked for Bailey and Wolf, Attorneys at Law for three years before enjoying a 20 year career with Washington County as a Courtroom Clerk and Judicial Assistant for four different judges. She spent her last two years in retirement enjoying the little things like extra time with family, updating her house, trips to the Oregon coast, yoga, and her close circle of friends.
Patti is survived by her three children and their spouses, Tracey Massey (George Massey), Tami King (Timothy King), and Matthew Strohm; grandchildren, Taylor King and Ava Massey, step-grandchildren, John and Daniel King, and their families; her sister Gayle Irving, as well as cousins, nieces and nephews. They miss her fiercely.
