Paul was a gentle, loving, and kind person with a twinkle in his eyes that was unmatched. He was known for his thoughtfulness towards others, his fun-loving nature, and his incredible dimpled smile. Paul's hugs were cherished by all, and his presence lit up any room. He had a passion for family, friends, and gatherings, always willing to lend a helping hand.
A natural teacher, Paul tutored young adults in English and math, showcasing his great analytical and problem-solving skills. His mechanical abilities allowed him to work on bicycles and electronic devices with ease. He was a deep thinker, always considering his decisions carefully, and was described as a force of nature.
Paul is survived by his beloved spouse, Dorothy Crandall, his son Nathan Crandall and daughter-in-law Nicole, his brother Neil Crandall and spouse Nickel and family, his sister Colleen Hulm and her family, and his nephew Thomas Rudolph and his spouse Tracy Oulman, among others. He was preceded in death by his father, Samuel Crandall, his mother, Jean Crandall, and his sister Jeanne Zebley and her family.
Paul served in the United States Air Force for 4 years and was honorably discharged. His dedication to his country was commendable. In his free time, he enjoyed a variety of hobbies including ice skating, curling, horseback riding, scuba diving, snow skiing, racquetball, and golf. He also was a volunteer at the Hillsboro airshow from its inception.
Paul retired from Intel Corporation after 28 years.
A memorial service will be held on April 19, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Fir Lawn Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 1070 West Main St, Hillsboro, Oregon <
