Phillip Anthony Coleman

Phillip Anthony Coleman was born on November 6, 1987, to Terry and Lila Coleman in Northridge, California. He was the youngest of four children.
He departed this life at his home in Hillsboro, Oregon.

Growing up he enjoyed swimming, skateboarding, Boy Scouting, taekwondo, water tubing, playing football, hiking, playing video games, listening to audibles and hanging out with friends.

Phillip attended Rock Creek Elementary, Stoller Middle School and Westview High School all of which are in Beaverton, Oregon. While at Westview High School he played on the JV football team. After High School he briefly attended Portland Community College at the Rock Creek Campus studying
Criminal Justices. It had always been his dream to become a police officer.

Phillip accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior at the early age of 8 when he was baptized in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints along with his parents and his sister Krystal. When he reached the age of 12, he was able to help administer the sacrament. Whereby at age 14 he was able to bless the sacrament. He took these responsibilities very serious which was displayed by the relevant way he performed these duties.

After deciding to leave Portland Community College he found employment at Elmer’s Pancake Restaurant, Consumer Cellular, Volkswagen Credit, and Wells Fargo. It was through these jobs that Phillip gained the experience and knowledge to succeed in obtaining a placement at Columbia Sportswear as a Customer Representative Specialist. He loved helping people and always made them feel like they mattered.

On June 9, 2022, Phillip was called home to be with his Heavenly Father. He leaves to cherish his memories his 7-year-old son Malakiah Coleman, his parents Terry &Lila Coleman. His sisters Krystal & Robyn Coleman. His brother Terry Coleman (Fawnia). His nephew Micah Coleman, nieces, Brooklyn & Ravenna Coleman & Ananda Pierre. His aunt & uncle Janis & Rodney Martin and his aunt Patricia Jordan. His very special friends Mindy Martyn, Lionel Thompson & Stephen Jochumson. A host of uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. He will be forever loved and deeply missed.

Phillip was preceded in death by his grandmother Fern V. Coleman. His grandparents, Alma & Oliver Ford and Uncle Jesse Lee Ford.

A celebration of Phillip’s life will be held at a later date to be announced.
