Raymond Lee Batista

Raymond Batista, 51, passed away on February 9, 2022 in Hillsboro, Oregon.



A service and viewing will be held at the Donelson Funeral Chapel in Hillsboro on Sunday February 27th beginning at 10:00am and concluding at 2:00pm.



Raymond was born in Manhattan, NY on June 26, 1970 to Ricardo and Ramonita Batista of Puerto Rico. He went to school in California and attended High School at San Pedro High. He eventually moved to Oregon where he lived most of his life and started his own family.



He worked in construction beginning at the age of 21 and ended up starting his own construction business until he was unable to work any longer. He loved attending car shows like the Lowrider and Roadster shows where he could show his cars he built over the years. He actually won several trophies throughout his life for his cars. He was also an avid fisherman and loved to go fishing whenever he had the chance. He also was a family man and loved spending time with his children and his big family.



Raymond was a very giving, kind and loving person to all he met and was willing to help anyone out whenever he could. He had a great sense of humor and could make you laugh even if you were having a bad day. Due to his kindness and open mind, he made a lot of friends over the years. Definitely someone you would remember. He will be remembered by not only his family but all the friends that he met over the years. He will be missed greatly.



Raymond is survived by his children, Ricardo and Oriana Sanchez of Hillsboro, their mother, Marta Sanchez of Hillsboro, his brother Richard Batista of Portland, his sister’s , Lillian Edwards of California, Nilda Bell of Beaverton, Analise Bonilla of Cornelius, Olga Thomas of Portland and his parents, Ricardo and Ramonita Batista of Cornelius. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and by all of the many people who loved him.
