Richard Ray “Dick” Everroad, born February 2, 1942, died after a long illness on October 30, 2022. Born in St. Charles, MO to Richard Ray Everroad, Sr. and Mary Katherine (nee Theis), he grew up in New Jersey; and attended Notre Dame University. He moved to Portland in 1968 and graduated from the University of Portland in 1970. While there, he met his future wife, Colleen.
He is survived by his loving wife of 51+ years, Colleen Everroad (nee Mullen); son, Craig Everroad (Keiko); Laura Everroad Mall (Greg); his grandchildren, Ray and Sara, and grandcats, Chicken and Egg; siblings, Susie Moye; Robert Everroad, E. Craig Everroad; and several nieces and nephews.
Dick was a loving, devoted husband and father whose family always came first. The family loved to listen to music, go on road trips, watch sports, especially Notre Dame football, 'have a catch,' vacation at the beach and 'just hang out' with family and friends. He will be greatly missed.
A private celebration of life and burial is planned.
His family would like to thank his doctors and the medical staff of 8-West at Providence St. Vincent's hospital who treated him with tender and loving care.
