Robert Warren Wolfe Sr

February 16, 1935 — April 11, 2021

“I love you the most!” We will miss that little competition of who could say that the fastest at the end of a phone call. Somedays we would let him win just because we wanted or needed to hear it.
In the end losing mom just within the last year probably proved too much for you – too much for all of us really, but you had to endure that on a deeper level, a level only a husband of almost 65 years could comprehend.
Robert Warren Wolfe was born February 16, 1935 in Huber, Oregon to Christina (Riedlinger) Wolfe, and Hugh D. Wolfe. The youngest of 10, our father lost his own dad as an infant, and yet fathered so perfectly because as a young husband and father he humbled himself and followed the Father of Life.
He led by an example of hard work, kindness, generosity, selflessness, fun and most of all pointing our paths to the Lord.
He worked two jobs most of the years we were growing up – an act of sacrifice not seen as widely in modern times. He never complained and somehow made it fun - all the while volunteering at church and civic groups.
He hauled us to every sporting event, horse camp and family get-together imaginable - and that was with 7 kids!
He let mom drag him all over the world to serve and love people (we think he may have rather been tinkering in the garage, fixing something for someone, or fabricating something to meet someone’s need).
He showed us all how to go on after persecution, and we could say more, but mostly we are so grateful and loved you so deeply, Dad. It is selfish now we know, but our hearts ache badly for you; we will treasure every aspect of you, and hold you so very deeply in our hearts.

Rest in peace, and rush into the loving arms of the Savior. Give mom our love, knowing her, she is standing there waiting to embrace you, and turning her head and laughing as you go in for a kiss.
Our father is survived by children: Julianne (Wolfe) Unger, Robert Wolfe Jr., Ladius Wolfe, Heather (Wolfe) Nugent, Spencer Patrick Wolfe, and Heidi (Wolfe) Laskowski. Our sister Holly (Wolfe) Scott, and wife Juanita (DuPree) Wolfe proceeded dad and are no doubt eagerly waiting him there at Heaven’s gate. He is also survived by brother John Wolfe, and sister, Patricia Wolfe.
He leaves behind a legacy of faith with 23 grandchildren, and 29 great grandchildren. He also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews.
