Roberta Eberly

June 14, 1926 — August 22, 2015

Roberta Eberly, 89, was born June 14th, 1926 in Lakin, Kansas, the daughter of Jason & Clara (Field) Adams. Roberta was the 10th of 11 children. She spent most of her childhood in Lakin and in Cliquot, Missouri, although the family did move a lot.
As her siblings got older, they married and moved away. Some came to Oregon and settled in. Some, because of the war, were stationed in California. Roberta would come for visits and on one of these visits met her future husband, Everett Eberly.
After the war they were married on Feb. 4th, 1946 and then drove to Kentucky to finish the last year of enlistment. They moved back to Oregon and settled in Banks. It was there they started a family with the births of Earl in May, 1949 and Gary in October, 1952.
They moved to Hillsboro in 1954 where they stayed until 1970 before moving to Reedville.
Roberta was a homemaker who raised great gardens and canned all that she grew. She was a Cub Scout Den Mother, chauffeur, loving mom, grandmother and wife. She had a wonderful sense of humor and her nickname was "Bob"!

She was involved in many church activities at First Baptist Church of Hillsboro from working in the nursery to folding bulletins to traveling with the Keenagers.
She was preceded in death by her husband Everett and nine of her siblings. She is survived by one brother, Earl Adams and his wife Marcia of Ontario, OR; her sons, Earl and his wife, Jackie; Son, Gary; grandchildren, Brandon and Amber (Eberly) Guindon, Ryan and Brooke Eberly, Niki Eberly, Jeremy and Cathleen (Eberly) Crawford and Steven and Danielle (Eberly) Myrick and Several Great Grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held Monday, August 31, 2015, 10:00 am, Hillsboro First Baptist Church, 2nd & Lincoln. Memorials may be made to Hillsboro First Baptist Church for support of missions.
