Rockford Raymond Naylor, 73, passed away at his home in Forest Grove on January 14, 2023.
Rockford, also known as Rocky, was born on July 22nd 1949 in Hillsboro, Oregon to Harvey Leon Naylor and Alice Grace Morrison. He had three brothers, James, Dick and Skip as well as four sisters, Darlene, Connie, Karen Sue and Patti.
Rocky attended various elementary and junior high schools in the Hillsboro area growing up. He would go on to attend Hillsboro High School and graduate from Cleveland High School in 1968.
Rocky went on to join the army, working in The Army Security Agency and spending time in Shemya, Alaska as well as being stationed in Japan during his military career. He received the National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal during his service.
Rocky worked for Providence St Vincent for 34 years, he left his position as Project Supervisor for retirement.
Rocky attended Hillsboro Methodist Church and was an active member in the community, belonging to both the Elks Lodge and Eagles Lodge. He held many interests with a love for golfing, fishing, traveling as well as classic cars holding a particular fondness for his 1956 Greyhound bus.
Rockford is preceded in death by his father, Harvey L. Naylor Sr.; his mother, Alice Grace Naylor; brothers James and Dick Naylor, along with two sisters, Karen Sue Naylor and Connie Lindell.
He is survived by his wife, Julie Steele-Naylor; two Sisters Darlene Seaberry and Patti Lingo; one brother, Harvey (Skip) Naylor; sons Rocky Naylor Jr, Wesley Naylor, Ben Davis and Jonathan Davis; daughters Kristie Linn Drummond and Jennifer Kaiser, and his three grandchildren, Micah, Bennett and Ava.
Rocky was a loving and devoted husband, father, son, brother and friend. He loved catching people by surprise with his stories and jokes. He lived life to the fullest and enjoyed his family and many friends, all of whom will miss him dearly.
