Ruth Virginia Bogue, 87, died November 21, at The Springs. Memorial Service will be 2:00 p.m., December 3, Bethany Presbyterian Church, 15505 NW Springville Road, Portland.
Ruth was born May 7, 1924, in Wolf Point, MT, to the Rev. Dr. Sydney Walker and Faye Walker; grew up in Grangeville, ID, and Baker, OR; graduated from Baker High School in 1942. Shortly, she moved to Seattle and worked as a "Rosie the Riveter" at Boeing before entering Lewis and Clark College. She married Richard Bogue on his return from the service in WWII; they celebrated 65 years of marriage last January. Ruth was a consummate homemaker, enjoyed involvement in her children's activities, and kept a yard to be envied. She was an elder and deacon in her church, and was active at Bethany, where she and Richard were also enthusiastic members of the pinochle group. Also important were PEO - Chapter X friends and friends around the country from their Post Office Years.
Ruth is survived by Richard; children Patricia, Carol and Donald (Linda); five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; sister Lois, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Private cremation has been held.
