Shirley Jane Russell-Mullins

Shirley Jane Russell-Mullins passed away Tuesday, February 15, 2011, at home with her family by her side.
She was born September 25, 1929, in Portland, Oregon, to Harry and Viola Peters.
A private family service will be held.
Shirley was raised in Portland and was a graduate of Jefferson High School in 1947. She graduated from the University of Oregon in 1951 and was a member of the Delta Delta Delta Sorority. She received her Master's Degree in 1976 from Oregon State University. She taught Home Economics, Health, and Physical Education at North Bend Junior High for most of her teaching career, about 30 years. After her retirement she moved to Green Valley, Arizona, and most recently Hillsboro, Oregon.
Shirley married Glenn Mullins in 1951 and he preceded her in death in 1997. In 2002 she married Dean Russell, he passed away in December of 2010.
Shirley loved sewing, painting, reading, and travel.
She is survived by 5 children; Mark (Sally) Mullins of Bend, OR, Bryan (Debbie) Mullins of Redmond, OR, Shawn (Jerry) Loughridge of Hillsboro, OR, Heather Glen (Roy) Mullins of Hillsboro, OR, and Shannon (Don) Heinzman of Sedro Woolley, WA; 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
